Pa and Ma

Updated: Jun 24, 2020

These days I have been hearing so much about people falling sick, hospital admissions becoming tough with so many guidelines to be followed and health care of Senior citizens.

So I was worried about my parents who are staying away from me . A decision was taken not to shift them as Pa is comfortable in his own den . So with the thought of not disturbing him, I asked Ma to manage as much as possible. Apparently it wasn’t a smooth start as they were not used to storing groceries the way we do neither are they technology savvy. It did take a toll on her for some time but fortunately my Ma realized its not a good time to overdo things and acceptance of the situation came quite early .

They have been following all instructions so well without any arguments and a positive attitude. My mind wanders about how this happened as they both are totally independent individual with own hobbies and friend circle . I must applaud these baby boomers for setting an example for generation X and Generation Y on how to deal with unprepared situations like these.

Both of them have stuck to their routines.

Ma goes to market early morning and buys milk and vegetables and completes 30mins of walk. Followed by yoga, and then house chores. Pa takes care of his health by an hr walk in the compound of course following all norms. Simple meals and sleep on time . They say we must be satisfied with the blessed life we have ......

"We have health and family with us "

Late evening is a chat with us . That’s compulsory for now , which has worked wonders for all . All though this is just the beginning of a new future I pray for their wellness keeping in mind

A SIMPLE LIFE IS A BEAUTIFUL LIFE
